About Us
Park Hill is situated on Alcester Road in Moseley, Birmingham. The school was opened in 1954. We are a three/two form entry school and are part of the Local Authority’s expansion programme.
Our pupils are from multi-cultural, multi-faith, socially diverse backgrounds. Park Hill is an inclusive school, offering an education to all our children that enables them to enjoy learning and achieve to their full potential.
The School is well served by local mosques and churches and is in close proximity to Moseley High Street, local health and library facilities.
We place a high value on attendance at Park Hill School and believe that children learn something new every day. Therefore we encourage good attendance from our children. Good attendance is celebrated in assemblies and children with 100% attendance are given appropriate rewards.
Park Hill School is a Healthy School. We promote this by encouraging our children to take part in regular exercise and to eat a healthy well balanced diet.
Admission Arrangement
Park Hill School can cater for 90 pupils from Reception to year 4. At present years 5 and 6 are still two form entry. From September 2016 it is expected to be 3 form entry from Reception to year 6.
The school follows the LA guidelines when admitting pupils to all years groups. Initial allocations to Reception are still administered by the LA.
Any in-year transfers are dealt with by the School directly. Parents are required to complete an application form and provide proof of date of birth and home address. When a place can be offered a pre-admission meeting is arranged with the Head Teacher.
In the event of an over subscribed year group we maintain a waiting list and places are offered when available again following the LA guidelines.
